Travelling to Isola d'Elba

By car

From northern Italy: A12 motorway until Rosignano and then the highway to Piombino.

From central Italy: A12 motorway Firenze - Livorno - Rosignano and then the highway to Piombino.

From southern Italy: Rome - Civitavecchia motorway and then the highway to Piombino.

 

By train

Genoa - Rome line to Campiglia Marittima station;

then from Campiglia Marittima to Piombino harbor, train or bus, by taxi about 15 minutes.

 

By plane

From Florence and  Pisa airports to Piombino:

respectively 1 and 2 hours by car rental or minibus at a special rate, plus 1 hour by ferry boat.

From Rome airport to Piombino:

about two hours and a half by car rental or minibus at a special rate, plus 1 hour by ferry boat.

Elba Island airport (situated at Campo nell’Elba) is directly connected to Milan, München, Zürich,

Bern, Friedrichshafen, Genève, Altenrhein and many international connections.

It can be reached in 15 minutes by taxi, minibus or car rental.

 

By sea
