A12 motorway until Rosignano

and then the highway to Piombino.

From central Italy:

A12 motorway Firenze - Livorno - Rosignano

and then the highway to Piombino.

From southern Italy:

Rome - Civitavecchia motorway

and then the highway to Piombino.

 

By train

Genoa - Rome line

to Campiglia Marittima station;

then from Campiglia Marittima

to Piombino harbor,

train or bus, by taxi about 15 minutes.

 

By plane

From Florence and  Pisa airports to Piombino:

respectively 1 and 2 hours by car rental

or minibus at a special rate,

plus 1 hour by ferry boat.

From Rome airport to Piombino:

about two hours and a half by car rental

or minibus at a special rate,

and many international connections.

It can be reached in 15 minutes
